Skillets Our skillets have a long handle and shallow, sloped sides and are sold without a lid. The sloped sides are nice for sautéing and allow foods to slide out easily. Some cooks prefer a skillet without a nonstick coating for certain recipes. For example, you may want to sear a steak, remove it from the pan and then make a sauce by combining a bit of wine or stock with the flavorful food particles that are stuck to the bottom of the pan. Our largest skillet, a 12" diameter, comes with a side "helper" handle. This makes it easier to lift when it's full of food. |
